Generali Global Corporate & Commercial appoints new global Head of Claims and establish the new Insurance function

Milan – Effective September 1^st, Pedro Ruano – former Head of GC&C Iberia & LatAm – is appointed as new Head of Claims. In his new capacity, Pedro is responsible for steering the claims processes at global level.

Pedro directly reports to Hayden Seach, within the newly created Insurance function, formerly Underwriting function.
The new Insurance structure, headed by Hayden Seach as GC&C Head of Insurance (formerly GC&C Head of Underwriting), leads and oversees the activities related to the entire insurance process, fostering corporate portfolio management and leveraging efficiency in the interdependencies between each underwriting line of business, the pricing, loss prevention and claims processes.

Hayden Seach has three decades of underwriting experience in the commercial general insurance sector. He is a corporate market Insurance specialist with a wealth of diverse experience and expertise matured in many markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and most recently Europe. He has also held senior positions with a number of leading international insurance and reinsurance companies. Hayden studied Business and holds a Master’s degree in Leading Innovation and Change through York St. John University in the UK.

Pedro Ruano has over 30 years of experience in the corporate insurance industry, specifically in claims practices. He joined Generali in 1992 and gained a wealth of diverse experiences and expertise matured in international claims within Liability, Financial Lines, Property, Engineering, Marine and Aviation lines of business.
He holds a Degree in Law and a Postgraduate in International Foreign Affairs from Barcelona’s University.
