Generali Global Corporate & Commercial appointed Carlos Gomez as Head of Insurance

Milan – Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) announces the appointment of Carlos Gomez as the new Head of Insurance, effective from 30th January 2024. Currently serving as the Head of GC&C Mediterranean & Latin America, Gomez will also continue in this role ad interim.

In his new role, Gomez will lead and oversee GC&C activities related to the entire insurance process. He will foster corporate portfolio management, optimizing efficiency in the interdependencies between each underwriting line of business, pricing, loss prevention, and claims processes.

Gomez brings to the role an extensive background in the insurance business, spanning more than three decades within the Generali Group, where he has held various senior positions. His notable contributions include spearheading the development of the Generali Group in Iberia and Latin America. In 2013, Gomez took on the task of establishing the presence of Generali Global Corporate & Commercial in the Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American markets, showcasing a proven track record by effectively guiding its recent transformation into the Mediterranean & Latin America Region.
