Generali Global Corporate & Commercial appoints new Head of Construction & Green Energy

• Alejandro Muñiz new Head of Construction & Green Energy effective from January 1st, 2022. 
• Alejandro will revamp the Global Construction industry practice considering the expected sector’s growth. Special focus on green energy following GC&C strategic priorities and massive investments in this area from Governments’ post-pandemic plans.
   

Milan – Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) appoints Alejandro Muñiz as new Head of Construction & Green Energy effective from January 1st, 2022

In addition to his current role as Head of Engineering Underwriting Iberia & LatAm, Alejandro will revamp the Global Construction industry practice considering the expected sector’s growth. He will leverage solid local expertise and the lessons learned to create a central structure ensuring coordination and enhanced commercial presence. 
Alejandro will report to Filippo Cinelli, Head of Client & Broker Relationship Management.
In line with GC&C strategic priorities and due to massive investments derived from Governments’ post-pandemic plans, a special focus on green energy opportunities will represent a differentiating factor.

With more than 10 years of experience in the insurance sector, Alejandro particularly specialized his career in construction, engineering and energy insurance. In recent years, he has held the position of GC&C Head of Engineering Underwriting Iberia & LatAm, being recognized as trusted point of reference, in a market where the Business Unit plays a leading role. Graduated in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Alejandro immediately developed technical excellence skills and client-centric approach in both underwriting and sales spheres.
